Who runs nics.dev
nics.dev is operated by Triton IT, Netherlands
(“we”, “us”). This page explains what we
log when someone visits a domain's for-sale lander, and what the
seller portal at
app.nics.dev
stores about sellers.
What the landers log
Every visit to a for-sale lander (a domain pointed at our nameservers) is logged for traffic stats and abuse prevention. Landers set no cookies. We log:
- A hashed IP address — the raw IP is combined with a daily salt and hashed before it is stored; we cannot reverse it back to the visitor's IP.
- The user-agent string, used to classify human vs. bot traffic.
- The referer, if the browser sent one.
- Timestamp and the domain visited.
If a visitor submits a make-offer form, we additionally store the name, email, offer amount and message they provide, and email them to the domain's seller so the two of you can talk directly.
What the seller portal stores
If you sign up as a seller, we store your account email, the domains you add, their nameserver-verification status, the offers received on them, and aggregate (bot-filtered) visitor statistics per domain. We do not sell or share this data with third parties, and we run no advertising trackers on landers or on this marketing site.
Hosting
Infrastructure runs in the European Union. We do not use third-party ad or analytics scripts on for-sale landers.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@nics.dev. Deleting a domain from your account stops its lander and removes its stored visit logs.
